Kusatsu International Summer Music Academy & Festival began in August 1980 in Kusatsu Onsen, Gunma Prefecture with the Rest House in the ski resort as a stage. Since then, over the past 40 years, 187 world-renowned musicians have come to Kusatsu to perform music that can only be heard in Kusatsu. We will introduce a number of precious masterpieces from them.
