【Kusatsu Music Archive】Bruno Canino, Saschko Gawriloff, Serge Collot & Walter Nothas 1993

The 9th piece of “Kusatsu Music Archive” is the 1st movement from the Mahler’s incomplete piano quartet, Op. 10 which he wrote in his mid-teens. Bruno Canino plays the piano, Saschko Gawriloff plays the violin, Serge Collot plays the viola, and Walter Nothas plays the cello.
This performance took place at the 14th Kusatsu Music Festival in 1993. Serge Collot, the viola player, had taught and performed in Kusatsu 17 times until 2006. That was his third time for Saschko Gawriloff and was his first time for Bruno Canino to participate in the festival that year. Since then, they have been a regular visitor to Kusatsu and are very important professors and supporters of the Kusatsu International Summer Music Academy & Festival. One of the major attractions of this music festival is you can listen to the ensembles of world-renowned musicians with selections of music and performers unique to Kusatsu Music Festival.
