The 7th piece of “Kusatsu Music Archive” is the romantic masterpiece, Schumann’s “Aus alten Märchen” from ‘Dichterliebe’ Op.48 No.15. Ernst Haefliger sings and Tomoko Okada plays the piano. It is noteworthy that world-renowned tenor Ernst Haefliger came to Kusatsu to teach young musicians for more than 20 years from 1983, and many great musicians have gone out into the world. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to hear him sing German song which was one of his specialties. At the 7th Kusatsu International Summer Music Academy & Festival in 1986, he performed a song by Schumann, the theme composer of the year, with a graceful song with the youthful voice.
