The 20th piece of “Kusatsu Music Archive” is A.Vivaldi: Concerto No.4 in F Minor, RV297 ‘Winter’ 2.mov. ~‘The Four Seasons’ from “Il cimento dell’armonia e dell’inventione” Op.8. Paolo Franceschini plays the violin, Claudio Brizi plays the harpsichord with Orchestra da Camera di Perugia. The Italian chamber orchestra Orchestra da Camera di Perugia appeared in Kusatsu Music Festival from the beginning of the 21st century and is now an indispensable part of the string ensemble. Paolo Franceschini, the leader of the orchestra, has been a professor at the Kusatsu Academy since 2005, and some of his Japanese students have become active in this orchestra after graduating from university.
They performed their favorite masterpiece “The Four Seasons” at the 39th Kusatsu Music Festival in 2018 and Paolo Franceschini was leading the orchestra members in a warm and graceful solo violin. Please enjoy Claudio Brizi’s harpsichord (Flemish harpsichord produced by Franco Barucchieri in 2018), which was donated by Kusatsu Academy Donors Society that year.
