Mr. Hiroshi Isaka, Sectretary-General of the Kusatsu International Summer Music Academy Office, has been selected for the 2023 Commissioner for Cultural Affairs Award.

This award is conferred by the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs to individuals who have made distinguished accomplishments in artistic and cultural activities.

The reason for this award is as follows:
“For many years, he has been active as a producer of classical music and has made a great contribution to the promotion of art and culture in Japan through his efforts to nurture younger generations.”
