The 41st Kusatsu International Summer Music Academy & Festival has unfortunately been cancelled due to the worldwide spread of COVID-19. Although the music festival cannot be held, we have received messages from seven of the faculty members who were planning to participate in this year’s festival.

Christopher Hinterhuber

Pianist / Participated every year since the 34th (2013) Kusatsu International Summer Music Academy & Festival.
Christopher Hinterhuber studied with Rudolf Kehrer, Avo Kouyoumdjian, Heinz Medjimorec and Lazar Berman. He has won numerous top prizes at several international piano competitions. He often gives master classes on all continents and is professor for piano and currently head of the piano department at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
