For the second time in two years, we received a video message from mezzo-soprano Prof. Angelika Kirchschlager!

Since her operatic debut as Cherubino in Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” at the Vienna State Opera, she has built an international career performing the title role in operas and recitals at major opera houses around the world.

She is internationally recognized as one of the foremost interpreters of Richard Strauss and Mozart. As a celebrated recitalist and concert performer her repertoire ranges from Bach, Berlioz, Brahms, Debussy, Dvořák, Korngold, Mahler, Mendelssohn and Ravel to Rossini, Schubert, Schumann, Weill and Wolf.

Currently, she devotes herself to recital activities and teaching young singers. She is holding her a chair for Lied-Oratorio-Concert at the University of Music (mdw) in Vienna since 2020.

At her masterclass in 2022, we were impressed by her energetic and attentive instruction to each student, as well as her interaction with the students outside of the lesson.
