Organ Professor at the “F. Morlacchi” State Conservatory of Music in Perugia, where he graduated under Wijnand van de Pol in 1984. He also studied harpsichord at “G.B. Martini” State Conservatory in Bologna. As a soloist his repertoire is very wide and he carries out intense concert activity. His discography ranges from the Music of the Renaissance to the contemporary music. Composer himself, he takes particular note of the new musical languages collaborating with many composers and giving several World premieres. He is active also as both a musicologist and as expert of history and historical performance practice. His private collection of rare historical instruments, including more than 50 original masterpieces, ranges from Fortepianos to Harmoniums, harpsichords and Pedalpianos. Since many years he is worldwide renown as major expert about the so-called Hybrid Keyboard instruments, such as, among others, Claviorgan, Orgue à Célesta, Harmoniumklavier. Thanks to his marvelous collection he created the format “The Never Ending Keyboard”, a traveling show introducing scholars and music enthusiasts to the authentic sound of the XVIII and XIX Century music. His deep love for teaching leads him to hold lectures and masterclasses worldwide.
