Her first public performance with orchestra was at the age of eight years in Vienna.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>1986 &#8211; First&nbsp; prize&nbsp; Rudolf&nbsp; Heydner&nbsp; Competition,&nbsp; Vienna&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1987 &#8211; &nbsp; B\u00f6sendorfer Scholarship Vienna&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1989 &#8211;&nbsp; Finalist of the \u201e13\u00e8me Concours Clara Haskil\u201c, Switzerland&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1992 &#8211;&nbsp; Merit Award ofthe Federal Ministry for Science and Research, Vienna 1993 \u2013 First prize B\u00f6sendorfer Competition, Vienna&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1994 &#8211; Culture Support Award of the city Baden&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2002 &#8211; Pasticcio \u2013 Award\u201d of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation for the CD &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; \u201c50 Variations on a Waltz of Diabelli\u201d.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An internationally successful concert career takes her to many important musical centers such as London, New York, Tokyo, Vienna, Salzburg, Basel, Birmingham, Prague, Milan, Gothenburg, Antwerp, Leipzig, Valencia, Stuttgart, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doris Adam performes as soloist with many prominent orchestras such as Symphony Orchestra Basel, Philharmonic Orchestra Flanders, Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, Prague Chamber Orchestra, I Virtuosi di Praga, Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, Nieders\u00e4chsische Philharmonie Hannover, W\u00fcrttembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen, City of Birmingham Symphony&nbsp; Orchestra (CBSO), The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Liverpool, Trondheim Symphony &nbsp; Orchestra, Orquesta de Valencia, etc., under conductors as Walter Weller, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Alfred Eschw\u00e9, Manfred Honeck, Bernhard Klee, G\u00fcnther Neuhold, Uriel Segal, Arild Remmereit Andreas Stoehr, Carlos Kalmar, Thomas Roesner, Oldrich Vlcek, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 1983 Doris Adam is a guest at many international music festivals such as Allegro Vivo, Carinthischer Sommer, Bruckner Festival, Wiener Festwochen, Schubertiade Hohenems, Bregenzer Fr\u00fchling, Bregenzer Festwochen, Wiener Fr\u00fchlingsfestival, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her concert career is also enriched by chamber music performances with eminent musicians including members of the Vienna Philharmonic and Vienna Symphony Orchestra.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 1986 she regularly performsDuo-recitals nationally and internationallywith her sister, the renowned violinist Karin Adam<strong>. <\/strong>Since 2008 she and her sister Doris Adam have established a&nbsp; &nbsp; concert series in Austria including recitals and chamber music performances with&nbsp; &nbsp; international musicians.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doris Adam has released numerous recordings (by Camerata Tokyo) including works for piano solo (compositions by Schumann, Schubert, as well as unknown solo compositons by Alfred Gr\u00fcnfeld, Waltzes by Johann Strauss, Paraphrases by Eduard Sch\u00fctt and Gr\u00fcnfeld, Variations by Franz Schmidt on a theme of Beethoven, 50 Variations on a Waltz of Diabelli, etc.) and chamber music (trios by Hans G\u00e1l, sonatas for piano and violin by Brahms, Beethoven, Schubert, Faur\u00e9, Grieg, Dvo\u0159\u00e1k. etc.).&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doris Adam also engages intensively in contemporary music.
